Oh, Seattle.

Seattle. I have a love/hate relationship with you. Why do you have to be so beautiful? Green, lush, mountainous, big beautiful buildings, right on the water...! Yet so... rainy, gloomy, congested, expensive.

Bah.

I took this photo the other day while my Husband and I were driving back from the Bloggy Party at Greenlake.

I was just stunned, in a good way, with how beautiful this city is.

I so much appreciate where I live, but at the same time- I want out of here. Does anyone else feel this way about where they live?

Some days I hate Seattle. But that day... I loved it.

{and just for fun... the typical rear view mirror shot}

I get like that with Chicago all the time. I think, "I want to live anywhere but here". Then I go somewhere else and say I miss Chicago.
I think it's the "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome.

I wish I could move my house, job and family to a differnt city every couple months...enjoy it all.

We move all the time, so we never get that way. I'm glad we move! But as for my hometown/homestate: yeah, I did get that way, but the day Steve Jobs decides to move Apple somewhere else is the day my city will cry, lol.....I'm from Cupertino, California, Apple Headquarters ;-)

I live in NC and I love our fall and spring...but I HATE summer. Sure, it's hot, so you'd think...get outside, but it's so humid that I can't stand it. So then you need to wear short clothes to work but the AC is so cold you need a sweater. Ugh... But I'm not sure where-else I'd rather live. I was in Sacramento last week...that was nice.

Seattle is one of my favorite places, even thought it ALWAYS seems to rain when I'm there. I guess that's what makes everything so green. :)

I have never been to Seattle. It looks nice, but don't know if I would like all the rain. I have lived in VA/NC my whole life, but would love to move to the mountains.

I totally feel that way about where I live. I love and hate living in the south. We miss the Northwest bad.

Oh that looks so wonderful to me, but that's 'cause I'm looking at it with fresh eyes. My hubby was just offered a job up in Kent, WA and we're hoping it works out for a move, because I'm anxious to get out of California ;0)

We're military and are currently in Virginia. I hate it here so much! I am counting down the days until I get to go BACK to Seattle. I miss it, gloomy days and all!

i took a picture of that exact thing [but with the camera on my phone!] while we were driving back! it was gorgeous!
somedays i wish i was living in san diego in an apartment that was way too small and we could just barely afford but it wouldnt matter because we'd be right on the beach!
i suppose all this crummy rain is what makes our area so beautiful!
