a whole new world

We have had to wait to give Bennett "baby food" because he's never had a strong tolerance for it. He spit up a lot as a baby (and still does sometimes) and when we first tried giving him food... it came right back up.

But recently he's been doing a lot better so we're trying some new kinds of food.

It's like a whole new world for my little tyke. Every time he tries something new, he get a look on his face like "oooh, what the heck is this??"

This is the face he made when we gave him banana's. Not sure if he liked it or not. But he ate it, so I guess I've decided he likes it.

What brand of baby food do you buy? And what kind of food does your babe like the most?

OK, seriously Mandy. That face! I have no more words. What a gorgeous shot! And is it weird that I love photographing baby food jars? Yes, that's weird...but totally true. I even did that for one of my photography assignments last year - LOL!

you need to check out the plum organics brand and the ella's organics brand at babies r us. they're the best tasting baby food ever.

Our girl eats gerber too. She is eating the stage 2 foods so they have a ton of options!!! Mixed berry with granola, mac & cheese, springs veggies, mango smoothie, risotto & veggies, etc =) Its all pretty tasty too.

Oh my stars, those eyes are too much! I made a lot of my Bennett's baby food using the food mill and it seems like Earth's Best Organic foods were always on sale, buy-one-get-one free when he was eating jarred food, so he ate a ton of that stuff. He loved it all!

I actually found making Jack's baby food to be really fun. All you need is a steamer, a food processor and some ice trays to freeze them in. One cube is equal to 1 oz. I would make meals by adding 1 cube of meats with 1 cube of carrots and 1 cube of celery. It was fun!

I'll be starting Molly in the next month or two.

So adorable. I used gerber with dustyn, but I am going to try and make my own with carsyn and just start him on mainly table food.

bailey was never fully in love with gerber, so we've started using beech nut and she LOVES IT! every single kind of their food she likes.

HOLY CUTENESS!

ADORABLE.

Aidyn didnt do a lot of canned baby food. I went on this crazy kick and bought tons of fresh veggies and fruit each week! Each sunday I would puree it all and put it into zip log bags or glass jars and freeze half, and the rest of it went in teh fridge. Aidyn loved it, and I loved the fact that I knew EXACTLY what he was eating!

Such a cute face!
We just recently started Adrienne on solids after deciding to wait until she was 6 months.

She's tried both Earth's Best and Gerber, she's been leaning towards Earth's Best so far. & I also bought a few Beech Nut's since I had heard that was also a good brand.

Good Luck on you're adventure's in solids, hopefully it goes smoothly this time around!
