snow day. pt 2.

I woke up this morning, and the first thing I did was went outside. It was 7:30am. Usually I hear the sounds of cars whizing by down the street. Not this morning.

Quiet. It was almost eerie. I know this photo does capture it, but it was such a still, calm feeling.

As soon as B got up, we fed him and headed out to run some errands. I know lots of people will criticize us because we should have "stayed in", but I have a 4WD car and feel very comfortable driving in the snow. Not to mention they totally sanded all of the main roads so we were totally fine.

And I'm so glad we went out when we did, NO one was on the roads. We went to the post office, starbucks, and safeway. It was totally dead everywhere which made for some fast service. Especially the post office! I loved that.

When B woke up from his morning nap, we headed outside to enjoy the crisp air. That actually didn't last very long, it was COLD! Ha ha.

Later we decided we wanted pizza for dinner. Domiminos is having a killer deal right now. Large 2 topping pizza for $5.99. Nice, right? Only catch is that it's only carry-out. I was nominated to go get it. Yay!

When I was leaving our complex, I ran into some people that were stuck in the driveway, therefore blocking my exit. Darn it. I took matters into my own hands, got out of my car, and told them to just back down the driveway slowly and park on the street. Yes - problem solved.

Mm.... pizza!!!

On my way back home, I saw THIS! Oh. My. Gosh.

This hill is right below my apartments. These kids were having SO much fun. I so wish I was a kid again sometimes.

{eating our pizza}

Now Bennett is down for his afternoon nap and Philip and I snapped a pic of us together(which we haven't done in forever!).... and I'm blogging.

But now I'm done cause I'm going to go spend time with my Hubby!!

The End :-)

Great pics! You're gonna have to drop the "sorta" from your blog title pretty soon, because that definitely looks like a fairy tale! :)

you guys are such a cute couple! love all the pictures from your day, glad you enjoyed the snow AND can drive in it. I am good in the snow too and it sucks when other people arent!

Looks like a lovely, relaxed day! :)
PS- don't worry- I'm not judging OR blaming you for driving in the fresh snow. Here in northern Michigan, if we didn't drive every time it snowed... everyone would be walking everywhere for 6 months of the year.

omg it was so cold today, wasn't it? and I totally drove to the mall today and the roads were so dry (except for the mall parking lot!), and there was NOBODY there...a great time to get some christmas shopping done!

Wow. You are such a good helper. Seriously I bet they were freaking out when they didn't know how to drive in the snow. haha makes me laugh. If I lived by you we could go sledding together down that hill and be kids again. haha I really would take kingston out there and do that but go barely up the hill. He would think it was soo much fun. You and your hubby are the cutest!! Love the pictures!!

It sounds like a perfect day! I wonder if those people know their bad driving is now on the internet ;)

That first shot is just magical!! Wow. My husband called from Vancouver the other night and said that there's snow on the ground. I had to tell him NOT to tell J that, because J would be so sad not to see the snow for himself. Z still asks if we could see snow here in HK. :(

It is hilarious when people are not used to driving in the snow (that is if everyone stays safe)....and a little annoying. I love the pics, as it makes me miss the snowy, cold winters in Kentucky. Plus, the mountains are beautiful.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Mandy!!!
