i'm sneaky

As Bennett has gotten older, he's turned into a really light sleeper. I am not fond of this at all! It's been over a month since I've really been able to watch him sleep.

He used to sleep in our room, in his cradle until he was about 5 months old. I absolutely LOVED being able to just stare at him while he slept. I had a really hard time when we finally moved him into his own room. {read: this post}

Well recently-- I have been sneaking into his room at night. I simply can't resist. I just adore him while he's sleeping. Okay, I adore him all of the time... but there is something so breathtaking about a baby sleeping. They are so peaceful and pure. My husband would not be happy if he knew I was sneaking into his room, let alone taking pictures of B while he was sleeping. This photo was totally worth the risk of waking him up. But lucky me, he didn't wake up....even when the flash fired.

*sigh* I love him!

OOOH! You are sneaky!!!! Aw, look at him in those footy jammies!

The one good thing about all living in one room, I get cuddles and the many peeks at Joss sleeping all night long ;0)

I know what you mean about sleeping lighter, Lucy is nine months now and she used to sleep through anything when my brother and niece were here at school making lots of noise in the evening, but since this semester has been quieter she wakes up to EVERYTHING! I totally look in on her every night though because I love to see her sleeping with her little bum up in the air, I always say she fell asleep praying, what a spiritual child;)
Cute picture! You are brave to take it;)

danger danger. I can't do that anymore unless I get down on my hands and knees and crawl haha. Kingston is such a light sleeper too.
I just love sleepy baby pictures! They are soo precious.
I also wanted to say kudos for you for still being able to have your bumper up in your crib. My child likes to jump up and down on his. haha He's ruined it!!

Totally feel you on the light sleeper. If I even open Logan's door he's sitting up. I so, so wish I could get cute pictures of him sleeping, but I'm sure they'll eventually start sleeping like logs once they're a little older... Then nothing will wake them up. haha

You are right, just nothing like a sleeping baby. My daughter took a picture last week of her little 2 year old son sleeping. It was such a sweet picture and he didn't wake up either. :o)

Oh you are a brave, brave one, aren't you!? I loooove sleeping baby pics, but I'm too chicken to snap a picture. I need Livia to SLEEP! HA! (Guess I could go in at the end of the nap, huh?) Precious picture! :-)

oh my goodness I love your blog!! I do that with my daughter every night. I agree that it's so hard to move them to their own crib/room! Everynight before I go to sleep, I check on my daughter and make sure everything is okay and move her around if she's in the corner of her crib. I think she's used to being woken up a little bit now because she just goes back to sleep!
