Mother's Day!!

You all thought you were rid of me, didn't you? ;-) Okay you got me, I wrote and scheduled this post before I left.  But starting tomorrow you will hear from some amazing guest bloggers!!

When my Husband and I planned our trip. I didn't really even notice that we planned it over Mother's Day. It only occurred to me last week that I wouldn't be home to spend Mother's day with Bennett, and my own Mother. So.. this is the best I can do. I will make it short and sweet.

Since I am not around today, I really can't think of anyone better to be with Bennett on Mother's Day than my own wonderful Mom. She takes such great care of him. She loves him and it's so obvious when you see those two together that she just adores him, and he adores her right back

Having a child of my own has really made me appreciate everything my own Mom did for me growing up. Because now I can say from experience, that being a Mom is hard work! And I know it will only get more challenging as Bennett gets older.

So Momma, I'm so thankful to you for putting up with my stubbornness, temper-tantrums, and rebellious teenage years. You have taught me so much by example and I hope to be able to pass those lessons down to my own children.

I love you Mom!!

{my sister, me, bennett, & my mom last Christmas. it's the most recent photo i had of all of us!}

Would you vote for us this Mother's Day?

Aww thanks Mandy! I'm only seeing this now (the day after).
And after my first day with Bennett, (and the day's not over yet)...it seems harder this time around:)

I think as we get older and our kids grow up, we block out most of the difficult parts.
Being a mom is the best, and being a grandma is amazing.
You're right, I love the little guy to pieces!!
We're going to have a great week together, but I know he'll be so so happy to see you again!!

Happy Mother's day to you too!
