my day so far... proceed with caution.

I would like to introduce you to the absolutely insane tantrumy side of my 17 month old.

But be forewarned, there is a lot, A LOT of screaming, squealing and thrashing. If you can manage to sit through this video, isn't it hilarious how about halfway through (about 35 seconds into it) he stops for a minute and forgets why he's mad, starts playing with a shoe... and then BAM... right back to his tantrum?

Ridiculous. Seriously ridiculous. Of and if you're wondering why he's so upset - I took my phone away from him. This has been my entire morning.

(oh and don't turn up your volume too loud, or your speakers might blow)

Oh Bennett! Just file this one away for viewing prior to leaving the house with his first date. Hope you get a break and a moment or two to yourself today.

Ah ha ha I love it! Delaney does the same thing, and I have such a hard time keeping a straight face about it, I just want to laugh!

Oh my heavens. I love when they do this ... not. My boy does this almost daily for the remote control. Fun times. Hope he takes really really long nap and gives you a lot of quiet time today!

Bennett, I played this for Julian and Isaiah and they just stared at you begin crazy. And then I asked them if they remember throwing a tantrum today...and they walked away like they didn't know what I was talking about. But they do.

I have to admit my favorite part is the end when your trying to talk to him & he screams louder. Why is it that when we try to help they will act worse. He is still SO cute tears, screams & all. Hope your evening is alil quieter ; )

I know it all too well. Parker threw an absolute fit the other day after HE drank all his juice. You would have thought it was the end of the world!!

Oh bless your heart. I hate days like this. But you're right. The part where he totally loses track of his tantrum to play is hilarious. Hope you catch a break today!

Oh my goodness, B! I would have never believed this if you would have never shown it. I'm glad he's good for his momma at playdates. :)

And can I cross my fingers that Logan won't pick up on any of this? hehe.

Maybe you should let B play words with friends with me so I can beat you, maybe?

You just have to laugh, right?! We're in the same phase with Griff... as long as he stays in control in public we're good :)

Oh my goodness!! I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but this made me feel so much better about ellie's fits! Lol!! It's completely normal, and I should totally video tape one so that I can laugh at it later :) I'm sorry that it's been a rough day! I sure hope he cheers up for you soon!

Girl you're not in this alone. That's about what our house has sounded like the past couple of days. It can really wear on you... I know. Hate to tell you it doesn't get any better when they hit 2's and 3's. Seems like the closer we get to three the worse he acts. Oh goodness.. This too shall pass, right??

Poor sweet baby, you can't help but wonder what in the H is going through their little heads!! Keep this forever, you can torture HIM later:) We have a photo of Isabelle making the most ridiculous cry face ever, in the midst of one of her epic tantrems, and every now and then she flips through her baby book and sees it and just bursts out laughing. Yeah, she wasn't laughing then, and neither were we!

Is it bad that I was laighing out loud?

Oh the things babies get upset over...if they only knew what would come later in life right?

Silly silly Bennett!

Oh girl I am right there with you. Krew has been like this lately too. It's exhausting. You never know what's going to set them off! And then you never know when it's going to end.

Oh my I so understand though I'll be honest we haven't gotten to the point that our tantrums are quite that long yet...I feel that we are just around the corner and I know I will be so worn ragged...I must say though that I was still smiling and thinking how dang cute your kid is!!

I am totally laughing out loud. My favorite is when you ask him to stop crying and he just does it even louder. Dane does the head shaking too, that part drives me nuts (but makes me laugh a little too).

Ahh fun stuff! We had a day pretty close to yours. Here's to a better tomorrow!

oh my gosh, dying at how he stops to examine the shoe & then goes right back to full force tantrum.

my son does the EXACT same thing. from the flopping to the looking at you with those eyes like 'whyyyy are you making me do this?!!' it's awful! i cannot WAIT until this 'phase' is over!

ha! I couldn't help but to laugh through the ENTIRE thing! I SO know how you feel and my daughter does the SAME thing. Tantrum, distracted, back to the tantrum? This happened yesterday (man I wish I recorded it!) She was eating raw broccoli, then I cooked it for dinner---the meltdown began...it was ridiculous! Then she ate the broccoli! lol! parenthood!! :)

1. all i could think about was how long your kid's arms and legs are! oh my gosh! he looks like he's 5!
2. i DIED when he stopped to play with the shoe!
3. you're a good mom mandy... don't stress (i know you're not stressed but i just wanted to tell you that)

Ok, I'm glad my son isn't the only one. I swear he does this every single time I take my cell phone away from him. You think I'd learn my lesson and stop letting him play with it but.... sometimes mommy needs 5 minutes!!

Jessica said...

Well, this makes me feel a little bit better. I'm glad my son is not the only one that does this. If Landon doesn't get his way or we take something away from him then throws himself onto through ground and cries. A few minutes of crying and he is totally fine. Well, that is until he doesn't get his way again.

Ah, yes, I know this all to well! My daughter thinks my i-phone is HER phone and demands is regularly....drives me crazy.

this one made me laugh out loud too, especially when he stops and grabs his shoe with his feet.
