Toddlers & Baseball!

I love baseball. Well not just ANY baseball, but my home team - The Mariners.

It's really uncharacteristic for me because I grew up dancing and really wasn't into sports that much. But there is something about baseball that just tickles my fancy.

Anyway, as Bennett grows up I will probably try to make sure that my love for The Mariners rubs off onto him. Cause, well, I really wanna be the kind of mom that is sitting on the bleachers cheering my little leaguer on as he swings his little bat and runs the bases. Can't help it.

So me and my good friend Kiara, decided we'd take our boys to a matinee game on Wednesday. Her son, Dane, is only 4 days older than Bennett. Although, while at the game, we were asked if Bennett was Dane's older brother. Ha ha. Yes, my son is HUGE. Thanks. ;-)

To be honest, I was a little worried about trying to get through 9 innings with a busy 17 month old. Cause let's face it, my kid NEVER sits still. But let me tell you, we managed to stay in our seats the ENTIRE game!!! It was amazing. I am shocked at how well these two boys did for almost 3 hours.
We managed to find a section (no we did NOT sit in our assigned seats, ha ha) that was fairly empty so we could spread out a little. It was perfect.

The boys kept themselves entertained. They sat in the seats together and ticked each other, climbed on the seats, faught a little, ate food, clapped a lot, danced a lot. Oh and they kissed a lot two. They pretty much love each other. For now, I'm okay with it, but if they're still makin' out when their 4 - we'll have to have an intervention I think. ;-)

It was the best experience ever and the most fun I've had in a long time!!! Can't wait to take my little baseball stud back to another game!!

So sweet!!! We are wanting to take Maddux to a Cubs game this summer (so we can skip next summer since he will be around the age of bennett--that scares me)
I talk all the time about how I can NOT wait to have Maddux in baseball I absolutely love little league baseball!! Can't wait! :)

We love Baseball in our house, too. Although, we are Red Sox fans. :) We took Noah to a ton of Tampa Bay Ray's games when we lived in Florida and he LOVED them!

That looks like so much fun. I'm jealous, I haven't made it to a game yet this season (bad!). Happy 4th weekend!

These are too cute! I'm glad you guys had a blast. We took my DD to the Mariners game on Mother's day and had so much fun. She surprised me at how good she was since she's a busy bee too. :) Her favorite thing was the wave. But she was delayed in it. She would lift her arms after the wave went by. Haha We hope to get to another one in August too when my hubby is back home.
