goin' back home.

...back home to my moms, that is.

looks like things with our house are moving at a snails pace. we have to be out of our apartment by saturday so we're packin' up everything and moving it to storage, cancelling all of our appliance orders and moving in with my mom.

yah so we move in 2 days and honestly - we are no where near close to being done packing. i have no idea how long we'll be living with my mom. a couple of days? weeks? months? the idea of living out of suitcases with a toddler isn't my idea of comfortable or fun but hey, what can i do? i am very grateful to my dear mother for letting my little family move in with her. should be interesting. i guess the plus side to all of this is that i'll be back in the house i grew up in - and i do love it there! not to mention, we'll save a little bit of money for while. humph.

and hopefully i'll be able to get my big ol' computer set up at my mom's somewhere. if not - my posts will be sporadic so don't forget about me, k??

OH and on a different, happier note!! i have an awesome giveaway coming up, sponsored by Shabby Apple. are you exited???

Good luck Mandy! When I was little we lived with my grandparents for a few months for the same reason. It is crazy to think back on how my grandma and grandpa somehow housed my parents and seven kids! You will get through it, and in the meantime save some money and get to spend extra time with mom/grandma. Hope all goes well and that you can post from your new temporary home!

Also, yay for a giveaway! Looking forward to entering :)

I'd love to move home ;) At least you know it is temporary (even if you don't know for how long). We're considering renting out our house and moving in with B's Mom for a little bit so we can move on to the next stage of our lives...whatever that may be. But it scares me not to have a plan or an end date. Will have to watch my p's and q's!

Good Luck sweetie!
As a mom who has had daughters move back home for short and long periods, it is nice to remember the dynamics of the house has changed and you are grown and married...you will have some wonderful times where you will draw closer but, also times when patience will be needed! I needed to remember my daughter was grown and not to treat her like she was a child and she needed to remember that things had changed here as well. It all worked out and we are as close as ever!!! Sending you all warm hugs,
melody

I can see one positive from this whole mess... you will temporarily be living closer to me! ;-) Let me know if you need any help.

I had to do the same thing when I moved to Texas this summer (though without a toddler mind you) trying to figure out what things you need to bring with you and what you can do without for a couple months is so hard!
