Pregnancy Stuffs.

First of all, I want to say thank you all so much for your sweet comments on my announcement post the other day!! They all truly made me smile! Since then I've been getting lots of questions via comments, twitter, FB, e-mail... you name it! So here are my answers to a few of the most common questions... in case your interested! :)

How far along: 13.5 weeks!
Official due date: April 10, 2012

Was this baby planned?
Kinda. We just decided to stop preventing and if we happened to get pregnant than YAY! A couple of months later, I peed on a stick and there you have it!

Who was the first person you told?
Well actually, when I took the test, my Husband was out of town on a camping trip. I really wanted to tell him but I thought it should definitely be done in person so I waited until he got home to tell him the good news. But of course, I HAD to tell someone so as soon as I got the "positive" test, so I called my Mommy!!
How far apart in age will Bennett and the new baby be?
They will be about 26 months apart! I think that's a pretty good age gap?

Are we going to find out the gender?
Absolutely!! I'm way too impatient to wait. Ha ha

Are we hoping for a boy or a girl?
This is the most asked question that I get! My Husband and I would both like another boy, but of course, we would be happy either way!!

Any names picked out yet?
Nope, not even close. We didn't name Bennett until he was born and I imagine the same will go for this baby! :)

Are you sick with this pregnancy like you were with Bennett?
Morning Sickness. UGH. I had it very badly when I was pregnant with Bennett. Like VERY bad. And it was ALL day sickness. I was throwing up 10+ times a day and was sick until I was 20ish weeks pregnant.

With this baby, I started getting sick around 6 weeks, but the good news is that I'm only throwing up 2-3 times a day and it's usually only in the mornings. I count that as a blessing. I feel my best in the afternoons. Hoping and praying that the morning sickness gets gone soon!

Are you showing yet?
This time around, I'm "showing" SO much earlier than I did with my first pregnancy. It's crazy.

I wanna see belly pics!!
If you read my blog when I was pregnant with Bennett, then you know I pretty SUCK at belly pics. So... don't expect very many of them. But here is one at 13.5 weeks. If this is any indication as to how quickly I'm going to get huge.. I'm doomed! ;-)

(please ignore the icky iphone pic in the bathroom and my ugly gray sweats. ha ha)

How has it been being pregnant with a toddler?
I'm not going to lie, being sick and extremely tired with a toddler running around wreaking havoc is tough. I really can't keep up with him and don't have the patience or energy to fight with him when he's doing something he's not supposed to. If you know Bennett, you know that he is one big ball of energy. He NEVER EVER sits still. Like ever. It's been hard on me but I am very happy that I'm entering my 2nd trimester and hoping to get some of my energy back. I need it!

Is this why you haven't been blogging?
You guys, I have been going to bed at 8pm every night. So... if you were wondering why I never blog anymore, it's because I go to bed when Bennett does. I miss staying up until 11-12 oclock at night talking with my bloggy friends on twitter and having skype dates. I miss reading and commenting on all of your blogs. I just don't have the time anymore since I go to bed so dang early. But my body needs that sleep so who am I to deprive it? :)

my boys are 27months apart as well ;) I was really nervous with how kullen would react to a new baby being that he was two and still 'needy' but the transition has been awesome! B will be an awesome big brother!!

I consider myself priveleged to have been the first to hear about baby #2. You didn't quite go into the real details about the way Philip actually found out though:)

Sorry you're feeling so sick! I don't know how you feel about meds, but I just got a prescription for Zofran and it actually helps most of the time. Might be worth a shot if you're not against taking drugs :)

You look amazing, so beautiful!! You may try asking your doctor for a prescription for Zofran: it's completely safe, no side effects, and knocks the nausea out. It was a life saver for my second baby that I wish so much I'd had for the first. Praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy!!

I am so excited for you!! I hope you get your energy back soon. I've been utterly exhausted and Elliot has been bouncing off the walls (quite literally) so I know exactly how you feel... except that he can't walk yet. So it must be worse for you!
Hurray for #2s!

So glad your morning sickness isn't quite so bad this time! I had Hyperemesis with both my pregnancies and threw up 24/7 for 9 months both times, lol. My record was 25 times in one day, eww.
Looking forward to following you on your pregnancy journey!

YAY!!!! Our girls are all spaced about 2.5 years apart, so not too much different than what your kids will be. It's a blessing :) Our youngest was just born 6 weeks ago and I miss pregnancy terribly. Glad to find another blogger to fill my pregnancy itch! Haha Congratulations!

Love it!! I'm so excited for you guys!!! Glad your not as sick this time! I was a Nanny when I was pregnant with Jasper and it was a tough job. I worked up to the week I had him! Being preggers make you tired, but adding a toddler to that is exhausting!!

Nikki said...

That sounds rough. I'm tired and I'm not chasing after anything. Hang in there, it's all worth it. Plus you make cute babies.
