Plus, I knew Daddy would be home on paternity leave when the baby was born, so I scheduled it when Daddy could take him :-)
Overall, he's a healthy boy. He eats pretty well. He can be picky at times but that goes in phases. He's sleeping wonderfully. He goes down for bed between 7:30-8pm and wakes up between 5:30-6:30am every. single. day. Ha ha. He's always been an early riser and I've just accepted it. The good news is that he still takes a 2-3 hour nap every day so that helps!
The only "concern" at this point is that he still isn't talking a whole lot. Philip and I continue to sound things out for him. We are making him ask for things before we'll give it to him and we say everything we're doing as we're doing it. The good news is that he's trying to talk a lot more than he used to. You can tell that he's definitely struggling to say the right sounds, but I am proud of him for attempting to repeat the things you ask him to. He's making small improvements every week, so I'm satisfied. People just keep telling me not to worry about it, and that his speech will come in time. So that is what I'm doing. I am learning to just chill out a little bit and accept that fact that children develop at different rates.
