PNW blogger meetup- Portland style

Getting together with local bloggers is one of my favorite things to do... ever.

The last one was right here in Seattle. But this time, the PNW meetup was in Portland. I really wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go (with a 2 month old at home), and it's a long story but I made it work!! YAY!!

Carpooled down to Portland with these two preggos. They are both due on the exact same day!! Pretty crazy right? It's a 4 hour drive to Portland (for me) but goes pretty quickly when good conversation is going on. And never mind that we had to turn around once and go back to Amy's cause some doe-doe forgot her phone. Okay fine, it was me, I forgot it and I couldn't be without it. Especially not with my baby at home, I'm paranoid.

We arrived a little later than expected due to my mom brain, but we made it! We didn't have time to stop by the hotel first so we just went straight to the meet-up.

The PNW get together was held at The Lucky Lab downtown Portland. And on man, I was excited to walk in to see 50+ local bloggers talking, laughing and being giddy just to be meeting each other. I met lots awesome ladies, and was super excited to see some familiar faces!! It really is the most amazing thing to follow someone's blog or instagram feed for a long time, and then finally get to meet them face-to-face. You just kinda click.

Anyway, here's how the night went--

laughing, talking, meeting, eating, swag bags, prizes, speed dating (kinda, ha ha), laughing some more, snorting a little from laughing so much, side trip to a burger place to get more food, lots and lots of hugging, more talking and giggling.... you get the point. it was awesome.

Oh and here is what I wore, linking up with mandy @ harpers happenings:
black layering tee: downeast basics, maxi skirt/dress & shoes: target, purse: zulily

These are some pics I took from my camera, but there will probably be some awesome photobooth pics being shared on my blog in a few days. Stay tuned for those.

{chelsea, lauren, libby, me. this was the first time i met libby... i just love her!}

{jill, chelsey, amy, mandey and me. mandey just moved to portland recently and oh my gosh i was so excited to meet her for the first time}

{the mand(e)y's: Mandy, Mandey, and me. i think the name mandy is pretty cool}

{there was a lot of sillyness happening}

 {and the sillyness continues. not sure what was happening here, but I think we were having a good time? :)}

Oh and did I mention that 6 of us shared one hotel room?? That's a queen size air mattress right there. Ha ha. We were a little cramped but I think we liked it that way. We kinda stayed up late like high school girls having a slumber party cause you know... that's how we do. But really, we probably wouldn't have gotten much sleep anyway. Out of the 6 of us... 4 were pregnant. So between potty breaks and my pumping sessions in the middle of the night, it was a little chaotic. But it was so fun and so worth it!

The next morning, we were all up by 7:30am. No sleeping in for these mama's. I think we're just all used to getting up early with our kids. Can you guess what the first thing on our minds was?? Breakfast!! With 4 preggos and a nursing Mom... that's all we could think about. Food.

We went to this adorable cafe called Mother's Bistro. We had to wait for a bit to get seated cause this place was hoppin'...  but once we got in, I could see why. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is awesome!!!

Oh and you know how when you're out to eat with someone it's rude to be on your phone a lot? Not with bloggers. It's totally acceptable and actually completely expected. The words "Can you take my picture?" "I need to tweet that" "I need a picture of my food for instagram" and "Hold on, lemme check in on FB real quick" were probably said 100 thousand times. No judgement here.

{this was chelsea when at one point, she had every one of our phones and was trying to snap pictures with them all, ha ha}
To sum it up, the weekend pretty much rocked my socks off!
