Easton is 5 months!

As I'm sitting here, my Husband and Bennett are down in Idaho visiting family (missing them so much BTW!)& Easton is in his bed, babbling himself to sleep. Life is a little nutso right now - I'm working like a crazy person and have hardly any time to blog but I didn't want to miss Easton's 5 month post, however, it will be short and sweet.

Seriously, where has the time gone?! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was sitting down to write East's 4 month post.

{compare to 4 months}

He is quickly growing out of all of his 3-6 month clothes. He's in mostly 6-9 mo stuff. Oh it's all so bitter sweet! He's still exclusively breastfed, but in the last week - I've been mixing breast milk with rice cereal to get him used to solid foods. It's not going so well. He's not very impressed at all. So we may end up skipping the icky rice/oat cereals and straight to pureed baby food. We'll see, I'm not really in a rush to get him onto solids.

He's been going to bed between 7-8pm, which has been absolutely heavenly!! He gets up around 4am to eat and then goes back to sleep until 8am-ish. He's also taking between 2-3 naps a day! His morning nap is the best, usually 2-3 hours. The afternoon nap is a little more random.

He's rolling like a mad man lately. I'll set him down on the blanket in the middle of the living room floor and he will end up all the way across the room. It's pretty funny. He's definitely ambitious. He tries to sit up from a laying down position... hasn't quite got the muscles for that yet. What an over-achiever. ha ha. He can sit on his own when assisted by the boppy or a squishy bed/pillows/blankets (as seen above). I bet in the next month, he will be sitting completely unassisted. He's getting so big.

Easton is so aware of everything these days, he's always interested in what people are doing! It's fun to watch him & his reactions to the things that Bennett does. Easton thinks his older brother is pretty entertaining. I can already see the sweetest relationship forming between the two of them and it makes my heart melt ❤

Happy 5 months little East!

Have you considered doing Baby Led Weaning since he doesn't like rice cereal?

He is just so handsome! I remember when my son Judah was that age. I couldn't put his newborn cloths or his 1-3 month cloths away with out weeping. Well he is almost two years and I still can't put away his old cloths with out weeping ;-) they grow entirely to fast :-)
