{Review} HANA Pro 1" flat iron from Misikko

I love the opportunity I have to do reviews. Although I am quite selective in which products I will review. I choose only products that I would buy, or that I feel would appeal to my readers!

So with that in mind, when I was contacted by Misikko.com to do a review for the HANA 1" Professional flat iron, I got really excited!! Let's face it, I may not be your typical "girly girl" but every lady loves a good hair tool.

When the package arrived, I was shocked to find all kinds of awesome goodies in there!
Not only did I recieve the flat iron, but I got a hair brush, makeup, hand sanitizer, a heating pad to set the iron on, and also Hana Shineshield - which is a leave-in treatment for my hair that protects against heat and UV rays.

So here's my routine when using a flat iron... OH and I was happy to have a new iron to use on my freshly cut hair! :) (I apologize in advance for my not-so-great iphone pictures!)

Flat irons are an ESSENTIAL part of my routine. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and in Seattle, with all the rain, the frizz is absolutely out of control.

Step 1: Get out of shower. Obviously.
Step 2: Put the Hana Shineshield treatment on my hair, mostly on the ends.

Step 3: Blow dry my hair. If I use a round brush, I can get it pretty straight... but the frizz is still there. Not to mention some poofy-ness that I don't always want.

Step 4: This is where the flat iron comes in.

Here are some of the features of the Hana Pro.
  • Made of Ceramic so it never peels and has awesome heat distribution & retention
  • Floating plates that auto-adjust to glide over any texture
  • Curved plate edges for versatile styling. Curl, Flip or Straighten!
  • Independent on/off switch
  • Hears from 140-450 degrees F
  • No slip-grip; and a heavy duty swivel cord with a hanging loop
  • Energy efficient at 38 Watts
  • Includes a heat proof storage pouch, heat proof silicone mat & special edition tin case.
  • Two year warranty
My experience with the Hana Pro curling iron was really good! The iron heated up very quickly (which is a must when you're in a hurry with two kiddos). And I noticed that it straightened and de-frizzed my hair seamlessly. It took me about 5 minutes and I was done! The best part was that it really did glide well over my hair, so it didn't feel like it was breaking off as I was straightening (you all know what I'm talking about!)

I don't really have anything negative to say except that it can be a bit pricey if you're on a tight budget.

Right now, though, it's on sale!! Originally $204.99 - ON SALE for $129.98 (savings of 37%!) AND it qualifies for free same-day shipping. That's a pretty sweet deal.
Another bonus? Hassle Free returns. No restocking fee and prompt customer service.

Overall I definitely recommend this product. I love that it can function as both a curling iron and a straightener. And I was impressed with Misikko's customer service and packaging. Please be sure to check them out!!

Lovin' the new cut! Will definitely be keeping this flat iron in mind. Mine don't ever have a long life span (cough my toddler might spill water on them, A LOT! cough) and I'm always looking for those that are hassle free and saves time!
