sickly.

Welp, the last few days have been a little less than fun. At first, we thought maybe Easton was teething. He had a fever, runny nose, and was gnawing on everything he could get his hands on. Classic teething symptoms. Also? Let's not forget cranky!!! I haven't heard him whine and cry so much since he was 4 weeks old.

He just hasn't been himself lately. I feel SO bad for him.

After a day or so, the fever broke, thankfully - but then he broke out in this icky rash!!
I suppose it could be heat rash from the fever. That happened to Bennett once and it looks pretty much the same. But after researching more, I think maybe he has Roseola. Mama's, what do you think?! High fever, then rash. Sounds like Roseola, doesn't it?? But then again, the rash caused by Roseola isn't itchy or painful. Hmm. Needless to say, it's been a long few days around here.

I absolutely HATE seeing my baby upset & in obvious pain. It just rips at my heart! Ugh. He does seem to be getting a little better... his attitude is improving and he's nursing again. (he went on a 2 day nursing strike... thank goodness for my pump!)

Send some good thoughts & prayers our way if you have some extra time. We need them!

I would say that looks like Rosealea. My little guy had it a year ago and it was so sad :( I couldn't figure out WHAT on earth was wrong with him until about 2 days later when he got the rash. Before the rash the disease makes their joints ache really badly, which is why they're so fussy. The good news is that once the rash breaks it starts to get better and it usually clears up on its own within 2-3 days after the rash. BUT, I'm (obviously) not a Dr. If you're unsure I say always go to the doc. Good luck! Hope sweet babe feels better soon.

I don't know much about the rash, but I hear ya on the pump. C has gone through 2 nursing strikes when he's teething, and I don't know what I'd do without mine either!

It definitely looks like roseola. Here's a great link about rashes:

It sounds like roseola to me. My daughter had it a while back and had the EXACT same symptoms. Luckily I was told once the rash comes it is smooth sailing from there. Good luck and hope the little guy is back to himself soon! : )
