The pumpkin patch post!

The obligatory pumpkin patch post, coming right up.

Last year I had a blast going to several different pumpkin patches with Bennett! This year, I have 2 kids to cart around. Sometimes I'm still in awe that I have TWO kids. I would be lying if I said the pumpkin patch trip was amazing. Did we have fun? Absolutely!! But those moments are sandwiched between a baby fussing and crying because we stayed out way past his nap time, and a toddler whining because he wasn't allowed to poke and pick up all of the animals at the petting zoo. Thank  goodness my Mom was there to help out!

Even though sometimes it's easier to just stay home and let the kids nap, we need to go out and let our children (namely the toddler) experience these things! These little things are what life is all about. Plus, it helps to get me in a Halloweeny mood.

So here's the photo dump you all knew was coming ;-)

cute cute photos. and i totally feel you, we've been terrible sometimes about just sticking to our 'schedule' and not going out and doing things. but ryann loves the little adventures so sometimes i just have to suck it up. and i can't imagine what it will be like with two!

We are blog twins today, I posted about our pumpkin patch visit, too! Haha! I agree with you about forcing ourselves to get out & create experiences & memories for the kids. Sooooo much easier to stay at home, but I believe strongly in creating lasting memories like this!

I feel like you and I are so similar. We both have boys about the same age, have the same values about family life, and our writing styles are similar! It's so special to celebrate these yearly holidays as a family of four. :) Great pictures!

Looks like an awesome day. Enjoy them, because there will come a day when the kids no longer want hay rides and will pose for pictures on hay bales. They'll want to pick out their pumpkins at the grocery store, and ask, "can we get some snacks, too?"
