Instagram Book by Artifact Uprising

It's no secret that I pretty much adore Instagram. A quick, easy way to share photos with friends, family, and bloggy friends using only my iPhone? Yes please. The only downside to Instagram, is that it's quickly replacing the need to take out my "real" camera. All of those little day-to-day moments are caught with my iPhone now, and shared on Instagram. And while I absolutely love the ease of use, and all my memories packed into one cool iPhone application -- I really like to have something tangible in my hands to look at. I kinda miss the days where we actually printed pictures and stuck 'em in an album. Ya know?

A while ago, I decided it was time to make something of all of these photos I was taking with my phone and sharing on Instagram. I originally started making an IG book through Blurb, but I ran into some issues with the uploading processes and it ended up taking way too long. So I scrapped that idea, and decided to go with Artifact Uprising instead. I'm not even sure where I came across this company but I'm really glad I did.

I found their website to be extremely user friendly, and the process of making and laying out the IG book was simple and to-the-point. It took my quite a while (4 weeks to be exact!) to actually finish the book, because I never had a consecutive amount of time to work on it. But if I had the time, I could have finished it in an hour.

My book consists of my favorite IG photos from 2012. I think it's a great way to sum up the year and also a cool thing for the boys to look back on. It really reflects what our normal life is like. What we do all day, and how they interact together. I'm planning on making one every year! How cool will that be to have these books?! I'm really excited about it.

The IG book I ordered is a soft cover, 8.5x8.5" and it was only $24.99 for 40 pages, and it's perfect for  us. Although, they have a smaller option (5.5x5.5") if you'd prefer, this one is only $10.99! They're really affordable, oh and a bonus? They use only recycled paper to print the interior of their books. Neat, right?

It probably hasn't even occurred to a lot of people to make books like this, or if it has, people may not know about Artifact Uprising. I strongly recommend them!!

*I was not asked or compensated to write this review, I did so because I found a product/company I really like and am always willing to help spread the word!

I've heard of them and have this on my to-do list. Did you have to upload the high-res version from your phone or did they use the low-res?
