Easton's 12 month update!

As you know, my baby turned One!! I wrote him a birthday letter, and shared his One Year photos, but I didn't want to miss his official 12 month update. I have really stuck to my guns this time around and I haven't missed a month yet!! But after this, I won't be doing as many monthly updates. I plan to just do 15, 18 and 24 months from here on out. But we'll see!!
{compare to 11 months}
12 month stats:
Weight: 21lbs (45%)
Height: 29.5" (37%)

I'm still having a really hard time believing that this little man is One. Easton just feels like a little baby to me, still. I think it's because I am comparing to him to Bennett when he was this age. Bennett was so much bigger than Easton! (for reference, at 12 months, B was 3 pounds heavier and 3" taller!!!) <--- that's crazy. But I quite like my dainty little dude. E is still wearing 9 month clothing, but I'm happy to report that we're breaking into the 12 month clothes now! Ahhh yah!

At twelve months, Easton has 6 teeth and I think a few more are on the way! He's still crawling around at lightning speed, and at this point, showing no interest in walking whatsoever. But that's actually totally fine with me! He can stay a "baby" a little longer :-) He is eating mostly table food, and is not picky at all. Also in the last month, we've transitioned him to cows milk and he seems to be doing just fine on it!

Not much has changed with his sleeping patterns, other than that we've started pushing his bedtime back a little. He was going to bed for the night around 6pm, but honestly, that is just too dang early. So now, we are putting him in bed around 7ish, which is working out much better. Wish Summer coming, I need him to be able to stay awake and happy a little bit later than six o'clock ;-)
His naps are kind of all over the place. He's up anywhere between 6-8:30am. So depending on what time he's up, he'll have 1-2 naps. But he's pretty flexible, so I'm really thankful for that! Oh and he's still sucking his thumb when he tired, but it doesn't bother me at all.

My little man is so so so easygoing. He's perfectly content sitting looking at books, playing with toys, or just being with me on my lap or in my arms. This is something that is SO foreign to me. At a very early age, Bennett was going-going-going all of the time and never ever stopped. So it's a huge change of pace to have a calmer baby. I guess we'll see what happens in the next few months, once he starts walking. That could be a game changer. :-)

Easton is so much fun! He waves hi & bye-bye, claps his hands, gives high-fives and hugs & kisses! He also loves when you sing and read to him. He loves going for walks in the stroller and will just sit there and watch the big kids play for hours. I think what I've discovered about Easton, is that he's an observer and a thinker. He just watches and studies what other people are doing, just taking it all in. As opposed to his brother who is a act first, think later (or not at all) kind of kid. lol

I really do love seeing the difference in personalities with the boys. They compliment each other so well. Easton ADORES Bennett. He laughs at everything that Bennett does, and you can tell that he looks up to him already.

I am just in awe of my littlest every single day. I can't get enough of him!!

Aww...I'm not a blogger (not a good writer), but I recently discovered your blog and fell in love with your blog. They are all so real and your boys are so super adorable. I have an almost 3 yr old boy and a 11 months boy too...this blog makes me all tear up because both of my boys sound exactly like yours. My older boy always go.go.go vs. his littler brother is so much calmer and loves to just observes people and his surrounding (which I love for a change) :D I'm sooooo emotional right now because my younger, Jacob is going to turn 1 in 2 weeks and I love reading your blog..they are soooo truth and you seem so sweet and honest on everything you say...I recently followed you on instagram too, my sn is lilymwang if you want to follow me too! Thanks for all the amazing blogs. Keep up the good work mama. Your boys are so lucky to have such an amazing mommy.

He is just so adorable. The photos of you and him = priceless. You need to post some comparison shots again. Didn't you do that before? Like Newborn E vs B and 12m E vs B. O and also photos of you and the husband to see who looks like who. You really don't need blog ideas from me... lol
