Sunshine in the rainy city.

I might complain a lot about the rain, but one thing is for sure, Seattle is a dang pretty place to live.

We actually live about 40 minutes outside of the city, but I still consider Seattle to be my "hometown". Ya know?? I don't get downtown as much as I'd like, though. With two kids and traffic, it's not always the easiest place to go. But since the weather has been so beautiful here, I decided it was time to go downtown with the boys and hang out on the waterfront piers. My Mom came along also, which is always nice!!

I'm happy to live in such a gorgeous place, with so many awesome things to do. We just meandered the piers, rode on the Seattle great wheel, got some lunch, chased birds around and just soaked it all in. It was a perfect outing for my little family!

iPhone photo dump comin' atcha.

Just out of curiously, have you been to Seattle, (was it raining?) and what did you think of it?! :-)

Beautiful pictures! I've been to Seattle once, about 10 years ago. It was so fun! It was August, and 80 degrees. People kept apologizing about the weather being so hot! I'm from Illinois and we had left 100+ degrees, so it was quite a change! The last day we had typical Seattle weather - misty, grey, so we got a taste of that as well. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We live in Seattle too (U District), and I agree...it is THE prettiest place to live. We loved the weather this past weekend too....A LOT of time was spent outside. :)

SO SO pretty! I have to get myself to Seattle! Since I've been following you (right after Blissdom) the weather seems to always be nice there. Your pics always looks sunny and beautiful. So glad you make the most of the good weather and get the books outside. The wheel looks so fun. I went on the huge one in London and the views were amazing!! P.S. Your boys are adorable.

I love your photos! really great shots.

it is my dream to move to the PNW. with ruby's diagnosis, I don't know that it will ever happen but we love to visit. we have been there twice. the first time was in march & I got a wicked sunburn. it was glorious! great weather the next time, too. but rain or shine, I agree with you, it is beautiful!

I love Seattle! It is one of my very favorite places to visit! And when we go down to the pier I like to hit up Ivars. YUM! And I like to get the flower bouquets at Pike Place.

Love the pictures and you look glowing as a mother to those two little boys. Bennett looks so old in these pics, and gotta love that kid's style.

We've been to Seattle once and it poured on us when we were at Pike's market.
