I don't even know where to start with this one, there is so much to say about him. Easton's personality has always been more mellow and laid back than Bennett's. However recently, he's been a little more feisty. He's definitely starting to express his opinions, and not afraid to let you know when he's upset. The thing is, though, that when he has his little fits, it's actually pretty cute. For now anyway ;-)
He has 8 teeth and I think he's in the process of cutting a few more. We'll see what happens here in the next little while. He loves food, any food really. Just put something in front of him and he'll gobble it up. Hope this trait sticks with him! He also still loves books a lot, I make sure and take the opportunity to read to him throughout the day. Since Bennett has never been into books, I'm hoping that I can continue to foster Easton's love for books and reading because I really enjoy that time with him.
His sleeping is still amazing. He sleeps between 12-14 hours at night. And take one 2-3 hour nap during the day. Also, little Easty is SO close to walking on his own. He will take several steps, but gets wabbley and sits down, but I'm guess we will have a full blown toddler on our hands within the next few weeks.
He says Mama, Dada, and Hi. And even puts them together sometimes, like "Hi Daddy!" I enjoy every minute I spend with this little guy. He's a Mama's boy for sure. He loves his brother and his Dad, but prefers to be with me most of the time. I kinda love it. <3
But let's get back to him and his brother for a minute. They love each other so much. Easton spends most of his days following Bennett around, trying to play with him and do what he's doing. Bennett usually receives it pretty well and I'm actually impressed with how well they play together right now. They are learning how to share and take turns. But what gets me the most, is when Bennett walks up to Easton and just gives him a kiss on the head. He does it quit frequently throughout the day and it makes me tear up almost every time. I can already see that Bennett's loving behavior toward his little brother is quickly rubbing off. Easton LOVES babies. Like, adores them. When my little nephew Cooper comes over to visit (he's 5 months), Easton can't stay away from him. He's always right by his side, giving him smooches and hugs, and trying to touch him and love on him. It's an amazing trait that Easton has, to be soft and sensitive -- and I can't wait to watch this side of him grow.
I can not find the words to describe the overwhelming love & affection I have for my littlest. Sometimes I feel like his big brother overshadows him because Bennett has such a HUGE personality. But I swear, Easton just radiates joy. It's impossible to be around him and not smile and feel his sweet spirit. He is so so special to me, and to my family. Don't know what we'd do without him.
Okay so now for some pictures.
So a funny story about this cape he's wearing in these photos. Our neighbor's little boy had a bunch of these for a party, and he gave one to Bennett. Not surprisingly, though, Bennett wasn't very interested in wearing the cape. But Easton? He loves it!! He insists on wearing it and if it comes off, he'll whine and bring it over to you to put it back on him. It's pretty adorable. So since I hardly ever take out my "big" camera anymore, I figured now would be a good time do snap some REAL photos. ;-)
ALSO! Don't forget that the Mama Memoirs link-up is this Thursday, May 30th! So get your posts ready!! :)
