A day at Pike Place Market

I can't believe in all the years I've been blogging, I have never posted any pictures of the infamous Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle!! I go there sometimes for photoshoots with clients, but I haven't been there in a long time, just as a resident of the area!! I woke up one morning, looked outside at the beautiful Summer day and decided it was definitely time to start acting a little touristy. So I packed up the kids, picked up my Mom as well, and we took them on their first trip downtown to the market! We had so much fun bopping around, trying out samples of various nuts, jams, and beef jerky. I may or may not have ended up with several yummy bakery cookies and a big bouquet of fresh flowers, as well ;-)

Sometimes I take for granted the beautiful city I live in. And it's hard to take the kids downtown, it's busy and there's a lot going on there. But I'm trying to step out of my shell a little more and let us experience these things as a family!

Have you been to Pike Place?! What did you think of it?

We have never taken our son to Pike Place Market either probably for the same reasons you stated...it's always so crowded! But lovely pictures. Maybe we will make it next year when he's out of his terrible twos stage. :-)

I've never even been to that side of the country!! Sometimes I think it's very easy to take your own town for granted--but to outsiders, everything always looks new!
