Just a typical summer day, minus the thief.

My family loves to spend time outside. But doesn't every family?? Kids need to explore and get out on "adventures", it's so good for their little minds and bodies.

A couple of weeks ago (I'm super late in posting this!), we went and took a walk on a local trail by our house. It's a beautiful trail, nestled in tall trees, and parallels the Cedar River. There are bridges to be crossed, and blackberries ripe for the pickin'. Philip and Bennett spent a good 30-45 minutes picking blackberries and filling the big tupperware container full of them. After they were done, we decided to leave the stroller at the top of the trail, and take the path down to the river.

Because Boys + Water + Rocks = Never-ending entertainment. Obviously.

And seriously, the exciting rock throwing could have gone on all evening, but we decided since it was nearing Easton's bedtime, we should get going. So we walked back up to the trail only to find that someone stole our container full of blackberries and our pack of baby wipes! Who freaking does that? Meanies. Luckily, they left the stroller. Oh well, hope they enjoyed the berries. :-/

So minus our yummy berries being swiped, (again, what the heck?) we had an awesome afternoon. I even brought my "big girl" camera along for the walk. So duh, you get a big photodump.

Someone stole baby wipes and berries?! What has the world come to?! Ugh! Glad you all had a good time, though.

I love where you live, I'm definitely coming to Seattle some day to explore when the kids are older! Also...berry and baby wipe thieves? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!? ;)

It had to have been a homeless person looking for food and something to clean themselves with....:( How sad! Wherever you all are at though is gorgeous! I so wish I lived on the west side of the state and not the Spokane side!

Well, obviously they stole your baby wipes to clean up after eating your berries! It's easy to catch a berry-stained-finger-thief. But, with the wipes, all evidence is gone! Classy little robbers, huh?! ;) I guess they just needed them more than y'all did.... Lame!

Your boys are so stinkin' cute!

And really, berries and wipes?! What?!? WHO DOES THAT?!

That's horrible! You should have yelled WE LICKED ALL OF THEM! Just in case they were still near by.

What??? After all that work! That must have been so sad! I'm very protective of my blackberries--they are little treasures. How disappointing!

That is the weirdest thing!! What random things to take. Did they just see a stroller and decide to snoop? Just strange. Those are wonderful pictures though! Sounds like a great time! :)

Great photos! And um, whoa, I don't think I have ever seen Easton in jeans before!

WTF indeed. I would choose to believe (like someone said above) that it was a homeless person looking for a meal and a way to clean up. Not that it makes what they did okay at all, but I guess I would rather believe it was someone desperate as opposed to entitled or malicious. UGH, people. :(

Some people! Either way, great photos and memories made. My girls have a thing for rock throwing too, we could spend endless hours down my the river.
