Stitch Fix #6, I give this one a 'B-'

Here we go, Stitch Fix #6! And for the first time in a little while, I wasn't in love with everything!! I loved one item, and liked the others okay. However, I'm still in awe that they continue to get the sizing just right for me! That earns them bonus points right there.

If you need the details about Stitch Fix, here they are:

You go to stitchfix.com and you create your style profile. (there's currently a waitlist, but it's not long at all!) Then the Stich Fix stylists hand pick 5 items for you to try on. They send the clothing pieces directly to your house, you try them on and decide what to keep (if anything) and then you send back what you don't want. Easy peasy.
  • There's a $20 styling fee, which you can use toward your order. (that's awesome!!)
  • If you keep all 5 items you receive 25% off your order.
  • You choose your price range
  • The more feedback you give on the pieces sent to you, the better they get over time. So be sure to be very specific to your stylists so that they can send you things you'll love.

As I previously said, I wasn't as excited about this box. I told them to focus a little more on fall fashion, and they definitely did that. But maybe I wasn't as ready for fall as I thought, because the colors weren't really catching my eye.

Check out my Stitch Fix and let me know what you think??

Umm... I'm kind of on the fence about this sweater. It's definitely comfortable, and I love the color because MINT.... so those are major pluses. But I don't think I'm super fond of the style and fabric? And elbow patches are kind of not my thing.

Yes. I love this. It reminds me of the teal/white chevron top I got in my last stitch fix. The fit is awesome!! I love how flowy it is, yet it's not too boxy. And I really actually like navy & orange together. And the ladder pattern is really neat, it's a nice alternative to the trendy "zig-zag" chevron pattern. And this really gets me in the mood for Fall, I can see wearing this blouse with denim and a pair of boots. Keeping this!

When I first saw this necklace through the box, I wasn't really impressed. But after putting it on, I have grown to like it, actually. Not sure if it goes very well with this blouse?...but I can totally see myself wearing this necklace this fall/winter.

2 words: SHOULDER PADS. Boo! Boo to this. So, I will be letting the Stitch Fix team know that going forward -- no more awkward shoulder pads. And probably no more blazers because I feel like there's no way I could pull them off.
(p.s. sorry for the ugly facial expression)

I have really been loving this color of purple lately. But am still unsure about this top. So, I pulled out my trusty mustard colored cardi to see what it would look like with layers (because I'm the queen of layers), and I think I like it a bit more now. But... I need to think about this one for a day or so and see how I feel.

Well, that's it y'all! Overall, I'd give this Stitch Fix a 'B-', which is actually a little bit disappointing. I really wanted to love more of the items I got, but most of it was just "OK." Ah well, I will give them lots of feedback and hopefully I'll like the next one better!

I also love the last pairing of the purple blouse and mustard cardigan.

I think that necklace goes great with the second top too!

As for the blazer, your face certainly says it all!!

I actually really like the Mint sweater on you. I empathize with you though, I'm not a fan of elbow patches either, and I don't tent to pick boat neck shirts. But you look great in it!

You should do a follow-up post. You always tell us what you're thinking of keeping, but never what to actually decide. Do your commenters ever sway you? Give us a picture of your stitch-fix keeps collection so far. :)

love the 2nd top and necklace and I love that yellow cardigan haha! what were they thinking w that blazer!? is that even in style somewhere? The mint sweater is cute, but beware of fuzzies, it looks like a sweater that after 1 wear will look like its taken a harsh beating.

Year, I don't know what people are thinking when it comes to shoulder pads in 2013! I've cut them out of a blouse I bought before. :P

I think the purple top is my FAVORITE! Love it! I agree, this fix was only "okay." Not a fan of the mint top or the blazer. Can't believe this is your 6th one already! I can't wait to get my 3rd. :)
