He was always my mellow child, the one that just kind of... went with the flow. It was nice while it lasted because the word that comes to mind when I describe him now: Diva. I know that usually has a female connotation to it, but I'm not kidding you, this kid is Diva to the max!!
Little dude has an opinion about everything. He's become super expressive, both in his facial expressions and his language. At first, it was surprising when I'd ask him to do something he doesn't want to do, and he'd give me a dirty look. What?? My sweet tiny boy is giving me a death glare? How could it be?? Oh and he's a master at giving me this disgusted face, like I was something he just picked off the bottom of his shoe. I've actually gotten used to it now and to be honest, it's quite comical. Especially when he lectures me saying "na na na na na na" (meaning "no!") while wagging his finger at me. I shouldn't think that's funny, but I can't help it. I do.
And lately? He has an opinion about his clothing. What other 17 month old boy cares about his clothes? Prima Donna much? He will kick his feet around when I'm trying to get him dressed, until I let him pick out the pair of pants he wants to wear. And don't even get me started about the hissy fits he throws when I try to put his shoes on him. Because he has to wear his warm, heavy winter boots in the 85 degree weather. MUST WEAR THE BOOTS. I have pretty much given up trying to fight with him on a lot of these things, as displayed in the pictures below:
But you know what? I love this little Diva. (Or should I say Divo?) lol. He's hilarious and keeps me giggling all the live long day!! Mister Personality, this one. I'm gonna be in trouble later if I continue to let him get away with all of this! ;-)
