5 on Friday vol. 6

ONE // So far, October has been an amazing month!! We have actually lucked out and had very little rain so far! The days usually start off foggy (which is kind of cool!) and then the haze clears mid-day and we have been enjoying sunny afternoons. The leaves are falling and all I wanna do is curl up by the fire.

TWO // I want to say THANK YOU for all of your kind words on this post. And I very much appreciate those that shared stories & experiences with me, it really means a lot and gives me hope that we will work through this and figure it out! Bennett's evaluation is today, and I'm hoping that it goes well. Just in the sense that he cooperates and they're able to get the information they need to give us their best guess as to his current status (with his speech delay and possibly other issues). Will update here soon :)

THREE // I'm getting pretty excited for Halloween!! We're going to just stick around our neighborhood this year for trick-or-treating, but I'm pretty stoked because my development get's pretty into Halloween, so I think it will be really fun for the kids! Easton's costume is a hand-me-down from my sister-in-law and it's pretty darn cute!! And Philip is actually making Bennett's costume. Major props to my hubby for taking on a DIY project. We'll see how it turns out! Hoping to get at least one decent photo of them in their costumes to show you guys. But heaven help me, the thought of trying to get a picture of the two of them together gives me anxiety. lol.

Do you have your kids Halloween costumes yet? What are your plans for the Holiday?

FOUR // I'm sure you remember the amazing experience I had at BlissDom conference earlier this year, I mean, I kinda wrote like 3 blog posts about it. Well, BlissDom has decided not to continue with their blogging conferences, and I was pretty bummed when I found out because I was looking forward to going back. I think blogging conferences are super important, not only to gain knowledge & inspiration, but to make connections and friendships. And it's my goal to go to at least one blog conference every year, so for 2014, I made a snap decision and bought a ticket for Type-A Parent Conference. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it! It will be held in Atlanta, GA - in September 2014. It's a ways away so I won't go into too many details about it yet, but I'm pretty excited!

Do you ever go to blogging conferences? If so, which ones?

FIVE // Speaking of blogging stuff, I'm adding something fun to the sponsor spots! I now have an exclusive Facebook Group for all of A Sorta Fairytale sponsors. This will be an awesome place to come together and show support & create a sense of community! Hoping we can all get to know each other better and encourage one another! If you're still undecided about taking the plunge to advertise on blogs, I wrote a post 5 Reasons Why Blog Sponsorship Is Important. This might answer some of your questions :)

Hoping to make it to Blog West Media in Vancouver March 2014. I have a hard time making it to conferences with our farming life/child care situation. Will get easier as they get older....maybe! Keep us posted on Bennett's appointment!

I'm really looking forward to celebrating Halloween. I already started early and helped my church with Trunk or Treat. The kids costumes were so cute! Sunday we are throwing our first Halloween party and we are dressing up! And Wednesday is trick or treating in our town. So it will be my first handing out candy!

Hey girl, I am new to this whole blogging thing, but I live in Atlanta, I would love to meet and maybe even go to this...hmmm, don't know if I have enough followers or audience yet. Stopping by from www.GloriOnline.com

Loving that first pic of the leaves and those cute boots! We'll be staying in our neighborhood as well for some trick-or-treating this year, and I can't wait to see a photo of the costumes, especially Bennett's! We're doing Superman and Batman over here. And I've yet to go to a blogging conference but it's definitely on my radar now that I've starting blogging more seriously in the last few months.

Argghhh, I can't believe we haven't made it to a pumpkin patch yet this year!I love all the photos of the boys. Also, I love your new carpet, can't wait to see it in person!

I am glad you are so on top of things with B, he is lucky to have parents who will do what it takes to help him succeed, whatever that may be. I am excited to hear what they decide as a plan of action for him. He has progressed so far, I have faith that with your perseverance and whatever help they can offer he will only continue to improve. Gosh I love that boy!

I keep meaning to talk to you about Halloween. Will text you!

Ooooh, Atlanta will be fun! It is going to be hottttt there in September!

What a great idea to have a FB group for your sponsors! I love all the things you've been doing lately with the blog. Good work!

Until recently I never heard of blogging conferences, though I'm not really sure there are many in Australia to attend.

I hope you get a good photo for Halloween!
