I was ecstatic when I received an e-mail from the marketing team, asking if I'd like to come down to the Zulily headquarters and join a discussion group to give my experiences and feedback. I love when companies go out of there way to try to create relationships with their customers, and actually care about what they have to say. I'll be honest, as much as I love Zulily, there are definitely things that I think need improvement, so I was happy for the opportunity to give some constructive criticism. And course, let them know how much I love them. ;-)
Well, as a result of the discussion group, I was put in contact with another employee, who asked if my boys would be interested in modeling for Zulily. I jumped at the opportunity because, hello, who would want to see their cute kid plastered all over their website? Okay maybe not ALL over there website, more like just in one spot. But okay, let me back up, I always told myself I'd never be the kind of Mom that let their kids "model".... but obviously, you can check add that to the list of things I'm now doing, that I said I would never do. Whatevs. Anyway, just one day after the discussion group, I was contacted and informed that they had some samples for Bennett to model for a few upcoming events. He was scheduled for the following week, and that was that.
Turns out that Zulily does the majority of their product shoots in house, which I think is really awesome. They have a plethora of sets, backdrops, and props to use for the shoots.
When we got there, we were immediately directed to the "models playroom". It was really cute, set up with all kinds of toys for the kids to play with while we waited for everything to get set up.
A few minutes later, we were introduced to Bennett's stylist and brought back to the set he was going to be working in. He modeled for two events, one was for a toy company, and the other was for boys formal wear. And let me tell you, I died when I saw Bennett all dressed up in a suit. *sigh*.
He will be featured on their website today and 10/12!! So be sure to go check him out :)
And for fun, here's a screenshot from today :)
