Boys Fashion Vol. 3 - Easton makes an appearance

I mentioned last week that I was going to try to get Easton in on these fashion posts. And guess what? I figured out a way to do it. Bribery. (something that NEVER worked with Bennett). But give this kid some smarties and he'll hold still for a good... I don't know... 5 seconds at a time. But hey, that's all I need to snap a photo real quick ;-)

This guy is funny because at a ripe 19 months old, he is already showing opinions on what he wears. Most of the time, he goes with the flow, but there are days he will be insistent on wearing a certain pair of pants or shoes. And I usually give in because he's so gosh darn cute.

Grey Polo: Old Navy
Cardigan: H&M
Skinny Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Robeez

I have a confession to make. When I found out I was having another boy, I was SO excited, for a number of reasons. But a big reason, was that I could re-use all of Bennett's old clothes. I mean, hello, hand-me-downs are awesome.

But.

As Easton is getting older, and really coming into his own personality, I'm finding that I'm not as excited to reuse Bennett's clothes as much as I thought. For some reason, they just don't fit Easton's personality. And I know what you're thinking -- Who cares! They are JUST clothes. Right? And that is true, which is why I do put Easton in a lot of B's old clothes. But Easton has his own style, and certain things just "fit" his personality better. So I have been buying him some of his own new clothing lately. I try not to go overboard... but I can't help it. Judge me if you must. lol

So tell me, if you have multiple kids, have you found that certain hand-me-downs just don't "fit" with the younger kids personality? Or is it just me?

He so cute! I put my son in an H&M cardigan this morning and thought of you! I know what you mean about clothes not fitting their personality. I bought a whole bunch of clothes when I found out I was having a boy and now that I actually see them on him they just don't fit his personality! I'm expecting my second baby and I told my husband no matter what we find out we are having next Friday, I will probably still buy more clothes if its a boy ;) I'll probably wait until the baby is here this time... I didn't think personality would mean so much (clothes wise) but I think it does!

So we get A LOT of hand-me-downs and I love it. We get from my sister who has a 3 year old and my sister in law who has 4 and 6 year old boys. I looove getting them, BUT sometimes the things that I remember being so cute on my nephews... just aren't on Jonah. Like he looks odd wearing them. I don't know how I will feel about a sibling though - since I'd be the one picking out the clothes originally.

He looks like a little model! I love how you can see such distinct personalities in kids so young. I used to work in a daycare, and I was just amazed at how different and unique each child was - even babies under a year! It's funny how they know what they want in terms of fashion too : )

Yes! I have 2 boys as well & they are SO different. There are some of my older son's clothes that just don't work for my younger. I try not to by too many new clothes for my youngest, but sometimes I just have to!

I do the same thing with my 2nd boy! We have soo many clothes from his brother, but I can't help but buy pieces for him that are more fitting. Glad I'm not the only one!!!

I completely agree, I saved everything from my older daughter and except for a couple of things I do not love it, just looks weird and is it lame to say that I get sick of seeing the same stuff. If we have a third girl I am sort of dreading seeing all those same clothes a THIRD time hahha but it is easy on the budget!

I just love how you dress your boys. I wish I had the guts to do that, but I would never let them eat. Or drink. Or walk. My boys are just monsters when it comes to their clothes. One pair of pants has more holes than the next. Maybe I'll get to dress up like little men when they're 6?! And yes, I'm totally with you on the different clothes for different personalities thing. I always think about Brady wearing an outfit whenever I put Cole in it, and I think, he wouldn't have done/said that. It's funny how clothes really matter :)

I have definitely bought a lot of clothes for Greyden even though we have all of Krew's. My preferences have changed, styles have changed, and as you said, he has a different personality (although I don't know how much that plays into as much as I just have different tastes now compared to a little over two years ago). I know some of my friends would think it was absolutely ridiculous that I'm buying him clothes when he has enough hand-me-downs, but it's very hard not too, especially when I can find them cheap! So yes, I understand you. :)

Oh my goodness!! I just want to squeeze him! He is too cute!! Love his little man look, with that cardi!
I am saving size 4T-5T clothing for my 10month old LOL crazy! I'll have to wait and see if in a couple years the clothing fits the same or not.
