Coffee Date Friday

I haven't linked up with Rags to Stitches for Coffee Date Friday for a while!! So, let's sit down and chit chat, k?

If we were sitting down for coffee, well, hot cocoa in my case, I would tell you:

▶ When we first moved into our house 2 years ago, I had all of these ideas about how I wanted to change/decorate the family room. Slowly, but surely, things are coming along. So far, we have put in some built-in shelves, painted the walls, installed new carpet, replaced our coffee table with a storage ottoman, bought a new sofa, painted the garage door that enters into the family room, and finally hung some curtains! All that's left is to add some crown molding and knock down some pillars that stand between the family room and the kitchen. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far, though. I need to show some before/after photos. But here's a peek:

▶ I would also probably tell you that I'm super sore from a class I took at the gym on MONDAY! And yes, I am still sore! Yikes. Have you ever taken a Turbo Kick class?? Holy moly. It's safe to say that class kicked my trash. I think I burned like 700 calories or something. Definitely a good work out. I think I will go back and take it again this Monday, cause you know, I like feeling like I just got hit by a truck.

▶ If we were sitting down for coffee/tea/hot cocoa, I would tell you that I still can't believe my oldest boy is FOUR. He got $20 from his Grandma's to spend on anything he wanted, and he chose to get another sword. Oh, let me back track. He's been into swords lately. See for yourself.

▶ And lastly, I would tell you how excited I am to get out on an adults only movie night tomorrow! My Husband's brother is in town, so the three of us + my SIL and BIL are going to go see "Jack  Ryan: Shadow Recruit." I mean, Chris Pine & Kevin Costner?! That's like the best of both worlds. Cause right now? Chris Pine is one of my celebrity crushes, but Kevin Costner?? Who wasn't obsessed with him when The Bodyguard came out? lol. Anyway, have you seen it?? Did you like it?

So what would you tell me if we were to sit down for a warm beverage??

I feel like it takes time to really get your home looking the way you want it to! Hey, we've been here over three years and just yesterday I was painting a bathroom that has badly needed painting since before we moved in!

I love the decor in your living room! What color is that grey on your walls?

Turbo Kick! Made me think of that part in Hot Rod when Andy Samburg shouts out "ULTIMATE PUNCH!" and it's like a punch/kick and I'm laughing out loud envisioning it.

But really, you're freaking awesome for hitting the gym as much as you have. Keep up the awesome work!

Ugh we really need new carpet in the living room but I'm nervous since I know Kayden won't be our last. Still not sure if we should wait or just do it!

Love your living room, the colors are so clean and fresh! My oldest just turned three so I am definitely feeling you on that one too...I can't believe I have a preschooler. They were just barely born, right?!
