I've been trying to take advantage of this beautiful winter weather we've been having!! We have definitely had our share of rain, because... Seattle. ;) BUT, it's been sunny and semi-warmish, for winter anyway. So the we took the kids down to the city to go to the aquarium and roam the waterfront. As much as we had a fabulous time, the Seattle Aquarium is grossly overpriced so that was a little disappointing. But, I suppose it was worth it seeing Easton's reaction to all of the sea creatures. He was excited about the clown fish, calling them all "Nemo". It was cute!!
Also because of the nice weather? We found some awesome trails just a few miles from our house to go explore. I stoked about this. I guess there is 52 miles of trails in this area, and I can't believe I never knew about it!!! Definitely know what we'll be up to whenever the weather is cooperating ;)
3/4 of us have an icky cold right now! It's absolutely not fun at all. Whinier kids combined with a Mama who isn't feeling well either is not a good mix. Hoping out colds vacate soon because....
Bennett's 4th Birthday is THIS SUNDAY!!! Holy crap, somebody pinch me. How is this even possible? I feel like I was just posting about his third birthday! ::sigh::
As far as his birthday festivities? As I explained in this post, we aren't having a birthday party for him. But we are taking him out tomorrow to spoil the heck out of him. We're dropping Easton off at my SIL, and then whisking Bennett off to Seattle to go to the Children's museum, and while we're at the Seattle Center, maybe take a trip up the Space Needle. I think that might completely blow his mind. And then on Sunday (his actual Birthday) we will have some cake and a few presents with any of my immediate family that wants to join us. But I'm really really excited for this weekend!!
Another downside to having an icky cold?? I haven't been wanting to go to the gym as much. My head has been pounding and I'm totally stuffed up, not to mention that I haven't been sleeping well at all. Just the thought of going to exercise makes me extremely exhausted. I missed a day at the gym on Wednesday and I felt really guilty about it, even though I'm sick. I just know that if I start making excuses, I would only hinder myself and my progress. So.. I decided to suck it up and go to the gym even though I'm not feeling so hot. Obviously, I sanitized everything like a crazy person, as not to get anyone else sick. But I'm really glad I went, because I need to stay motivated.
