Let's have a coffee date.

If we were sitting down for coffee together (I'd be drinking hit cocoa) this week I would tell you that this has been a long week. But thank goodness it's Friday!
This week is mid-Winter break. I don't know if it's just a West Coast thing. But here, our school districts have winter break, mid-winter break, and spring break. So...all that to say, Bennett has been out of school all week. And? The kids were sick this past weekend, throwing up and nastiness like that. Bennett got over it pretty quickly, but Easton is still hanging on to some residual diarrhea (sorry, TMI). But seriously, I feel like all I have been doing all week is cleaning up pooh, giving baths, and doing laundry. It's not fun my friends. But hey, it's real life. I'm a mom.

this is pretty much what i've looked like all week. no makeup & laying around the house.
If we were sitting down for coffee together, I'd talk about how I have been reminiscing about the boys births. I came across some photos of Easton's birth and I just about cried thinking about it. In a good way, though. It kinda makes me want to experience it again....some day. Maybe. In a long time. Okay but my point? I found those images at just the right time, it was the end of a long day and looking at the day we became a family of 4, it made everything alright. :-)

I'd probably try to lighten the mood and start chatting with you about how excited I am that The Walking Dead is back on! I'm obsessed with that show. Who else watches it?? I am also excited a new season of The Voice is starting next week! I was never a fan of American Idol, but The Voice is freakin awesome. A much better format. And the judges are cool, too.

And then I'd probably excuse myself from our date so I can go back to cleaning up baby pooh. ;)

So, what would you tell me at our coffee date?!

YES to new Walking Dead episodes. I am really intrigued how they are taking the storyline! Because, let's face it, the prison was getting boring.

Love the Walking Dead and recently fell in love with House of Cards on Netflix. It took me a few shows to get into it but now I am addicted - so good! And I feel ya on the school situation - if feels like Cain goes to school once a week lately with all the different breaks and our crazy MI weather. So ready to get back to a regular routine - come on Spring!

We could talk the whole time about labor & delivery and TWD! We're also into Downton and I can't believe the season finale is already this weekend!! I'm so sad about it!

I would talk about how excited I am for our dinner date tomorrow night :-) How grateful I am that D & Q didn't get the icky stomach bug from B & E. And I of course could talk about babies and birth all freaking day long.

I have been reading your blog for awhile now but never comment. But I would talk to you about how much respect I now have for SAHM I recently gave birth to our first he is five weeks now and I just did my first full week home with him alone and it was much harder than I thought! I would pick your brain at how you do it. Still trying to get my mom groove on.
