Obligatory 'Snow Day' Post

I'm just happy that we had snow for a 'snow day post'! If you remember my random 5 on Friday post from last week, I was whining and complaining that we hadn't had any snow yet. I begged the East Coast to send some our way, and lucky for me, I got my wish!! Granted, the snow only lasted a day before it melted, but we had a good time waking up to a little bit of white fluffy stuff on the ground!

The boys were pretty darn excited to go out... but we aren't really prepared to play in the snow because we hardly get any. Maybe a couple of inches every other year... if that. So, they go out in rain boots, PJ's and a warm jacket. Mittens are an afterthought, usually. lol. They had a fun time making and throwing snowballs, but the fun wore off pretty quickly once they realized how cold it was. lol.

Ah well. I'll take what I can get. ;)

This will probably be the last time we see snow this year. It's warmed up already and is forecasted to rain for the next week, so, yay! ::sarcasm font::

I know the rest of the country is totally over the snow, but I love it and wish it would come back! At least for a few more days! :)

I definitely enjoy just living through photos of snow days because I can't handle the cold. #SITSblogging

Love the snow! In the Philippines we enjoyed a 1 month cool weather last January we see less sun and so loving the fresh and cool air.

Beauitful photos of the boys! I'm in Atlanta Georgia and we've been having ice storms here which I'm getting tired of because the whole city shuts down and we're stuck at home for a couple of days.

when we have weather like we've been having, snow makes it all worth it right?! so cute!

Both of my kids played for like 3 hours in the snow Saturday morning! We don't get much snow here in Seattle, but to a certain extent I'm also thankful we didn't get over a foot of snow like Eastern Washington. Nonetheless, snow covered mittens, and runny red noses meant a Saturday morning well spent :-).

I wish it would only last a day here!! We too finally got snow, but too much of it in my opinion. And silly Landon doesn't even like playing in it because he refuses to wear gloves. I'm ready for summer. :)

I love your pictures and this post! The smiles on their faces - their joy of snow! Precious! As you mentioned, we here on the East coast are very over and tired of snow and winter, and it's wonderful to see someone else enjoying what we're definitely taking for granted this year. Snow can be such fun. It's easy to forget sometimes. So glad I found you today via the SITS Comment Love event and hope you and yours have a wonderful day! :D

Glad you got some snow to enjoy! I had to laugh reading your post, being on the East Coast no one where is looking for another snow day; most have already lost spring break days to due to the amount of snow days.

The snow we've got over New Year's Eve has YET to melt! The city has almost ran out of salt. I can't wait for a day to get above 32 degrees... hopefully some of this stuff will melt. I'm glad you're enjoying your time in the snow!!

That warranted a snow day? You can still see the grass! haha

Totally hear ya on the snow! I was so excited that we FINALLY got some! Sadly, I didn't get any pictures (I don't know WHAT I was thinking!), but Robbie is still talking about how he threw snowballs with dada. :) I definitely wouldn't mind another snow day or two....maybe one during the week so dada has to stay home with us. :)

Snow in the city is just not as much fun - now it is just piles of dirty ice. And we're getting more tomorrow night and Thursday :(. Stopping by from SITS comment love.

In south Florida, we never see snow. In fact, we were swimming in our pool the other day. I do miss it though, it's beautiful and my daughter LOVES to play in it the few times we've seen it. What fun your kiddos must have had!

I'm in SE NC and we keep getting threatened with snow, but have only gotten gross sleet accumulations. I want fluffy snow so I can build a snowman!

As a Texas girl who rarely sees snow I love these pictures (especially the last one, darling!) I'm with you I think it's fun to have for a while...but I probably don't want to be buried in it like so many of those on the East coast. Glad you had a fun snow day though. :) Stopping by from SITS Girls.

First, I love the title of your blog! Second, I was begging and hoping for snow as well. I'm in Seattle and we got about 18 hours of snow before the rains melted it all away. But I got to take a nice long walk in it while it was still falling, so that made me very happy!

Great pics, your boys are cuties! We love snow days here too. It has been so bitterly cold, wish we had a little more snow to go along with it.
