Five on Friday vol. 13

So quickly these weeks go by, I can hardly keep up!! I feel like this time of year gets a little more hectic and time just sort of gets away from me!

It's baseball season!! If you've been reading here for a while then you probably know that I'm not much of a sports fan, except for baseball!! I definitely prefer the more chill, laid back atmosphere of a baseball field to other sports. Plus I just love the game, I find it interesting and entertaining. So we had a date night last week with our best friends and attended opening weekend at Safeco field. Granted, the Mariners aren't the most amazing team in MLB, but they are my home team and I will always support them!

And you can't tell me you wouldn't get some garlic fries, too. These things are the bomb.com. Oh but the best part of the night? We won 6-4. Booya!!

I got April's Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail this week and again, they continue to impress. I am loving the root pump, urban decay eye liner, the city color eye mousse and the tinted lip balm!! I really do use all of the products I receive, which makes it totally worth the $10/mo. With that said, though, I think I'm going to put my glam bag on hold for a little while and put that money toward some other things I've had my eyes on.

We made a trip out to one of our favorite farms this past week, Fox Hollow Family Farm. The boys always have fun petting the animals, riding the tractors, taking train rides and playing in the gigantic play houses. Wish it was a little more affordable, though, because I'd take them every week if I could!!

I've been trying to convince my 4 y/o that it's a good idea if he naps. He doesn't usually listen to me, but when he does, it's glorious. He gave up his nap about a year ago, but every so often he'll crash at the same time as his little brother and I really try to use that time wisely. I feel like lately, I've had such a hard time balancing everything I have going on, and everything I want to do. Sometimes I really feel like I need to hire a nanny part time or something. Trying to run my photography business and this blog while being a full time Mom is starting to take a toll. But I will save this for another post because I think it might turn into a book. ;)

I have kind of a fun little announcement! I have a post I'm working on for next week with the details, but I've decided to do take a little leap of faith into something new. I'm sure it will really only add to the amount of stress I feel. But I'm super excited about!! Hint: it has to do with fitness & exercise!  :)

As for this weekend?? It's going to be pretty mellow I think. I'm having a hard time believing that EASTER is this weekend. We don't have any huge plans. We'll do Easter baskets in the morning, and of course, go to church with the kiddos. Later that day, we'll probably do a little egg hunt and dinner. Nothing fancy, but hopefully we'll really be able to remember and celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

What are your weekend plans?!

I also enjoy baseball, but my team is in the Midwest and wears red :) My husband has been to Safeco a few time when he was stationed at Ft. Lewis, but I have never been there. We would like to eventually visit all of the MLB stadiums, but so far we have only been to 2.

Yea for baseball season! I'm hoping the Mariners can actually be good this season. :-) Very cute shot of your son napping.

I am just totally in love with the colors in your living room. Where are your curtains from? So pretty! we are a baseball family too! Do you think you will have the boys play teeball when they get to that age? This is Xander's second year and he loves it.

I've been loving my Ipsy bags, too. That picture of Bennett is precious on the couch. He looks so little there in the big room. Can't wait to hear about your announcement this week!

Safeco is the best stadium ever! Even though the M's aren't always great (ok they rarely are), I'm still "True to the Blue"! And the garlic fries…ohhh…the garlic fries!
