1) It's MAY!!! I can't believe that.
And 2) Sorry guys, I won't stop posting pictures of this beautiful weather on my blog. See, I need to write this all down so that when it starts raining again this weekend, I have something to get me through the dreary days. I do live in Seattle, after all. ;)
It was an 80 degree day yesterday, and really, there's only one thing to do when the temps get that high.
Go to the beach. Right?
I didn't have my DSLR with me, but I'm glad I snapped some pics with my iPhone because I really wanted to document our first REAL beach day of the year -- where they actually got in their swim trunks and played in the water!
I took the boys to the lake after Bennett got out of school and we spent a good 2 1/2 hours sitting on the beach! The kids were SO happy to be able to dig in the sand and get in the lake, and on top of that, they were so well behaved! Easton probably sat in the same spot for 45 minutes just filling up his buckets with water & sand, dumping it out, filling it up... repeat. And Bennett was happy making sand castles and wading and splashing around.
Luckily this beach is small enough that I can sit back on the grass and keep a super close eye on them. So... I sat there with my Sister and my friend and chatted and sunbathed. If this is any indication as to what's to come this Summer -- I'm a happy lady!
We're supposed to have a high of 86 degrees for another day or so, we don't really have any plans yet, but I'm sure we'll think of something!! My house gets REALLY hot when it's warm out. We don't have A/C, so I'd much rather get the boys outside, than stay in our sauna of a house.
This is the temp our house was when we got home from the beach! Yikes. I can't believe that we're having to worry about the heat this early in the Spring! I'm not complaining, though.
What is your weather like where you're at?!
