A peek inside the lunchbox + a little giveaway!

*Many thanks to Kozy Shack for sponsoring today's discussion. My love for their delicious pudding is all my own.

Raise your hand if you have a picky eater? ::raises hand::

Glad I'm not the only one ;-)

As I've said one hundred million times, the food situation in our house is an ongoing battle. I am always trying to get my kids to eat new things, or try things again that they haven't liked in the past. But, I always have my go-to meal items on hand for the days that they aren't feeling adventurous. So I thought I'd give you a little peek into my boys' lunchbox.

Luckily, I've found a handful of things that are both yummy + nutritious for my kids' lunches. And, they'll actually BOTH eat all of these items. That's a win/win/win. So here's the run down.

PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY SANDWICH | Oh... the good ol' PB&J. I can always count on this to be a hit with my kids. Plus, they're super fast and easy to make and take on the go if we're headed out over lunch time.

BANANA | Okay so this is actually hit or miss with my littlest. That's why I offer the raisins as well, because it gives him an option if he's feeling feisty.

RAISINS | ^^ See above. And my kids like to eat things out of boxes, so, it's fun for them to eat raisins.

CHEDDAR CHEESE | Medium cheddar cheese is a staple in our house. My kids go gaga over it, and it's a good source of calcium and protein.

MIXED NUTS | They don't ALWAYS get almonds and cashews, because they are pretty darn expensive. But my kids eat these nuts like crazy, and they've got the good fats in them so I'm all for it.

KOZY SHACK CHOCOLATE PUDDING | Because obviously you need something extra delicious to finish off your lunch, right?? Truth is, I was actually only recently introduced to Kozy Shack pudding. I don't know how I've missed it, but so glad I found it. My kids, especially Bennett LOVE pudding. Well... who doesn't love pudding? Chocolate pudding is his favorite.

Kozy Shack pudding is made with wholesome ingredients such as milk, eggs & rice. Plus contain no artificial preservatives or hydrogenated oils. They're also a good source of calcium and are also gluten free!

Me? I skip the lunch and just eat the pudding. My favorite flavor us the Tapioca Pudding, with sprinkles on it of course. I could eat this ALL day long. Well that is until my little stinker steals it from me. Seriously, I can't sit down and enjoy anything without at least one of my rugrats trying to get in on the action. Good thing they're cute, right?? :)

So... if you haven't tried Kozy Shack pudding yet, now's your chance! They will be giving away this super cute set of ceramic pudding mugs w/spoons + a coupon for a free kozy shack product!

I totally raised my hand. My son's preschool is nut-free, so I always have a hard time packing his lunch, but I have become better at it! Thank you for your suggestions! <3

There was a rice pudding shop that I used to go to in college and it was SO good. I'm thinking the French Vanilla rice pudding would have to be my favorite.

Totally have the same problem with enjoying any food, by the way. I tried to teach my almost-3-year-old to share, and now the only time she applies the concept is when I sit down to eat, and then she runs over and says, "Mommy, you share with me?" Good times. ;-)
