Happy Halloween '14

Greetings from California!!!

I hope you all had an awesome halloween, some of you might even still be out trick-or-treating or enjoying other festivities! We got the kids dressed in their costumes and out trick-or-treating pretty early and wrapped up quickly.

Not because it was raining, or cold (like it is on Halloween at home in Seattle), but because my kids were scared out of their wits. Trick-or-treating around Southern Cali is not for the faint of heart. Many of the houses in my SIL's neighborhood were tricked out with super creepy decorations and had "live" zombies, monsters, and serial killers walking around to add some more fear to the experience.

One house we went to, you had to walk through a courtyard to get to the door, and my poor kids had to go through a fear factory before being completely surprised (and not in a good way) when Mike Meyers (from "Halloween") jumped out of the fog and scared the crap out of them. Easton and my niece ran screaming and crying out of there so fast, it was intense. It was sad and funny all at once. lol

Needless to say, our night ended quickly because the kids were begging to go home. The good news is, that once we got inside and they started munching on candy, they were totally fine. Just hope they were scarred for life. ;-)

Tomorrow, we're hitting Universal Studios! I'm stoked!

So that's what our Halloween night was like. How was yours???

Haha. My daughter ended trick or treating after a fake spider jumped on a porch and scared her.

Wow sounds pretty full on!

The kids look great though.

I would love to go to America one year to experience Halloween and see what all the fuss is about!
