Girls Weekend in Seabrook, WA

I briefly mentioned last Friday, that I was going to be taking a girls weekend away. And I'm sure that if you follow me (or any of the girls that went) on Instagram, we annoyed the heck out of you with 150+ pictures of our trip. So, I apologize for all that. Sorta, ;-)

There are times when I feel like blogging & social media can be shallow, competitive and superficial. You know what I mean? But for the most part, I find social media to be a positive thing. And then -- there are those people that you meet, that completely fulfill a place in your life you didn't even know was missing. I met every single one of these girls (with the exception of one) online. Some of them, I've known for almost 5 years now, since when Bennett was a baby. And some are newer friends. But regardless, it feels like I've known them all for a very long time!

So okay, the weekend!!! It was incredible, to say the least. We all piled into cars from various places. Some of us from Washington, some from Oregon, and even one hopped a flight from California to come! ❤︎ We rented a massive house (because there was 16 of us!) in Seabrook, WA, and were not disappointed even a little bit when we got there and saw this beauty waiting for us! It was literal perfection.

We did a whole lotta nothing & everything all at the same time. I don't really need to go into detail, but the only thing that really matters, is that all of us are Mom's, who desperately needed some time away to just BE. To be together to laugh and be as ridiculous as we wanted, with no other obligations or little people pulling on our legs. It was glorious, I'm telling you. We may or may not already be planning another girls getaway for this Summer. :-)

We got matching sweatshirts. We're so annoying. ;-)

I think back to when I first started blogging, and never in a million years did I think I would become such good friends with people I met on the "internet". I feel so lucky.

oh my goodness, the house!! I am in love. As I stated, or think I did, in your first post saying you were going. I did a similar thing for years called Chicks Weekend. So much fun! I want to find a group to do it with again that I feel a bit more comfortable with. Love the pictures!

That is so nice! I'd love to do this with some of my mom friends out there. I think its great you know blogging buddies in real life. I don't know any where I live. It looks like you had such a great time. I found your post in my BlogLovin News feed, would love a visit back when you get the chance.

Wow this place looks beautiful! I love that you've grown so close to folks you've met "online". I am just beginning my blogging adventure and just wondering how you connected to so many and so closely.
