JORD Handcrafted Wood Watch - Review

I'm not lying when I tell you that I have been on the hunt for the perfect watch for.... two years? At least. I'm actually a very decisive person, but for some reason, I was having a very hard time figuring out which watch to get.  I wanted something different & unique, but that was also versatile and timeless. I kept going back and forth and back again, so eventually I just gave up on the watch search.
Wooden Wristwatch
And guys, I think I have finally found the perfect watch for me.

*I was provided this timepiece for the purpose of this review, all opinions are my own.

Let me introduce you to the JORD Wooden Wristwatch! Yes, WOODEN WATCHES. Honestly, I've never seen any other watches like this one before. I always just assumed I would end up getting your typical stainless steel style watch. But I'm super glad I hesitated and waited so long, because this little baby was exactly what I didn't realize I wanted. ;-)

JORD makes modern handcrafted wood watches, for both men and women. I really liked what I saw online, but I was extremely interested to see what it wood actually look and feel like once it was on my wrist. Truth? I was pleasantly surprised with how lightweight and comfortable it was.

And It seemed quite appropriate that my wooden wristwatch arrived in a perfectly adorable wooden box. I feel like the presentation actually makes quite a difference in regards to my first impression of things. So I was stoked to see how lovely this timepiece looked both in & out of the box.

JORD offers a variety of watches, made from all different wood materials from sources around the world -- such as Rosewood, Sandalwood, Maple, Bamboo, Ebony... etc.

The watch I chose is from the Fieldcrest series, made of Zebrawood & Maple. I specifically chose this material because of the neutral color, and how versatile it is, I really can wear it with anything. I was a little bit surprised with how large the face of the watch was, though. I think I was just expecting it to be a little bit smaller. Although, truth be told, most watches are huge on me because I have pretty small wrists. However, after wearing the watch for a few days, the size of it actually grew on me quite a bit. And I certainly enjoy not having to squint to see what time it is. ;-)

Some must-know info:
The Fieldcrest timepieces are made with scratch-resistant mineral glass, and is considered to be "splash-proof," but should not be submerged in water. <---- Definitely good information to know with two little boys around. ;-) Also, lemon or orange oil extract is best for cleaning, which is awesome because I actually have some of those oils lying around.

And lastly, JORD now offers free shipping worldwide! So, hop on their website and take a peek, you just might fall in love. In fact, I promise you will.
