Super Easy Sprinkled Party Popcorn

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We actually had a very relaxed weekend. We cleaned the house a little, went to the gym, did yard work, laundry, grocery shopping...etc. Okay actually, now that I'm writing it all out, it sounds like all we did was work. lol. BUT, I also made something super yummy I want to share with you. Trust me, you will LOVE it.

Listen, I'm a firm believer that you can pretty much drizzle melted chocolate over any salty snack and it will equal perfection. I've been experimenting with this theory over the past few months and I have yet to be disappointed in any of my creations.

And this Sprinkled Party Popcorn is no exception.

As you might imagine, this recipe is super super easy. First, grab your popcorn. Specifically some BOOMCHICKAPOP. Can I say that again? BOOMCHICKAPOP!! I just love the name of this stuff, so fun to say, and I swear, it makes it even yummier having a name like that.

This recipe will work with really any of these flavors. Just depends on the ratio of sweet vs. salty that you want. I ended up using the Sea Salt Popcorn with this batch of Sprinkled Party Popcorn because I love the even combination of sweet & salty.

All you need is:
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • Sprinkles (any variety)
  1. Fill a 13x9" pan with popcorn.
  2. In a medium sized microwave safe bowl, mix together the shortening and the chocolate chips, then pop the bowl into the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stop & stir, then put it back in for another 30ish seconds, or until the chocolate is totally melted.
  3. Take a spoon and drizzle the melted chocolate evenly over the popcorn.
  4. Add sprinkles.
  5. Pop it in the fridge for a bit to harden the chocolate.
And boom!! You're done!! Serve & enjoy.

Orrrrr, if you aren't motived enough to make the Chocolate Sprinkle Popcorn, just grab a bag of BOOMCHICKAPOP and chow down on it all by itself, because trust me, it's delicious. I found it to be the perfect snack while I'm working in my home office.

And because we all love popcorn AND giveaways, I've got something else for you before you leave.

BOOMCHICKAPOP is hosting a super fun giveaway featuring a Halloween Kit full of fun goodies such as treats and prizes, a $50 Target gift card, and also some BOOMCHICKAPOP! (yum!)

You're invited to share photo of your #BringTheBoom moments to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram using the #BringTheBoom hashtag for a chance to win!

*BOOMCHICKAPOP will select three winners and mail out their price the week before Halloween.

I've noticed more and more people loving popcorn drizzled in basically anything...I might just have to try it (you make it look oh so good). Also, I totally get you...some of my best weekends I realize are just full of "work" but maybe that's because you're being productive so that makes you feel good? I'm pinning this!

I love chocolate in my popcorn. Usually I just by Reece's Pieces or M&Ms to throw in my popcorn. This looks even better. Going to have to pin it to try later. Thanks for sharing! :)
