Fall Fashion - Booties Make The Outfit

If had to rank the seasons from best to worst, it would go like this: Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter.

So, yah, clearly I'm a much bigger fan of the sunny months. But Fall, it's is in full swing here in Seattle. The rain has started and the temps have dropped. I think it's time to put away my sandals and just embrace it.

The chillier months aren't all bad, though. I think there is something to love about every season, don't you? Along with the colder weather, comes fun Holiday's and also.... Fall fashion. Which ironically, gets me super excited, even though I prefer warmer temps.

And Boots. Let's talk about them. Boots have become a staple for residents of the Pacific Northwest. I think I own at least 10 pairs. But let me be honest, I haven't always been a huge boot lover. I think mostly, it was because I was intimidated by them. Sounds silly, right? But it's true. I was never sure how to style them, or which boots looked good with my body type. It was all just too much. So, I mostly stuck with my fuzzy Ugg-style boots and called it a day.

But in the past year or so, I my eyes have been opened to the huge world of boots. And while scouring Rack Room Shoes, I came across a huge variety that quickly got added to my Christmas list (see above picture ^^). ;-) I feel like every girl needs a good pair of rain boots, especially if you live in a climate like ours. Also, a cool pair of riding boots is a must, and also ankle boots, too.

But more recently, I have been really into booties and shooties. Say that again. Shooties. It's just fun to say, right? But seriously, both styles are super fashionable and flattering.

*I was provided this pair of boots for the purpose of this post. All opinions are my own.

This pair of boots right here, the Limelight Kendra's, they're my new favorite. But before we talk about these boots, can I just say how awkward it is to try and take pictures of yourself, by yourself? My Husband was gone on a business trip, but I really wanted to get some good shots of these booties while it was pretty and sunny (and not raining!). So I busted out my tripod and did my best. Don't make fun of me, okay?

Back to the boots. Aren't they awesome!? I was a bit scared ordering a pair that had a 3 1/2" heel, it's been a while since I've worn heels. But I was surprised to find how comfortable these were, and I wore them all day long. I felt supported the entire time and the heel is thick enough that I wasn't wobbly on my feet. The zipper detail is also a big plus on these. Keeps them interesting, but not too cluttered. And the color is perfection, very very versatile.

On this particular day, I styled these boots with a pair of medium wash skinny jeans, and an oversized camel colored top. But they can also be dressed up a little bit, and paired with a dress or skirt! Oh, and I can't tell you how many compliments on got on these boots! I think I'll keep 'em ;-)

What do you think of the boot trends this Fall? Do you have a favorite?
