And thank goodness I gave it another shot, because this month's box did not disappoint! Every item pleasantly surprised me, and I can honestly say, I like it all! I liked the pieces so much, I decided to spare you the annoying mirror selfie's, and break out the ol' tripod to take an ACTUAL picture of everything. You're welcome ;-)
Before I dive into what I got this month, let me tell you about Stitch Fix, you know, in case you've been living under a rock ;-)
First thing, stitchfix.com
- There's a $20 styling fee, which you can use toward your order. (that's awesome!!)
- If you keep all 5 items you receive 25% off your order.
- You choose your price range.
- The more feedback you give on the pieces sent to you, the better they get over time. So be sure to be very specific to your stylists so that they can send you things you'll love.
Alright here we go!
Item #1- Ursula Pleat Detail Blouse by Daniel Rainn
LOVED this. I'm always on the lookout for bright & fun patterns, that aren't played out like the chevron print. This was the first piece of clothing that stuck out to me in this box, and I was even more in love once I tried it on! I'm excited to get some use out of this once the sun decided to show it's face.
Item #2 - Evella Boatneck Top by Market & Spruce
So first let me say that I do like this top, a lot, actually. But will I wear it? That's a different story all together. I'd like to say that I would, but I could see it just hanging in my closet and never coming off the hanger. So I'm on the fence. What do you think??
Item #3 - Elaine Ikat Print Pocket-Front Knit Shirt by Market & Spruce
This was a pleasant surprise. I will admit that I peeked on the app to see what was coming, and when I saw the picture of this top I wasn't totally stoked. But in person, I kinda like the bright pink/purple, and the pattern is fun. I don't have any Ikat pattern tops, so it would be nice to add the variety to my closet. Not to mention this is a very comfortable, casual shirt. So that's a plus.
Item #4 - Charlone Halter Blouse by Skies are Blue
Again, another super fun pattern. I am REALLY loving the patterns in this fix! When I'm out shopping on my own, I tend to just stick to plain, solid colors. So thank goodness Stitch Fix is lookin' out for me, keeping my closet versatile. ;-)
Item #5 - Balla Cargo Vest by Laju
This was the biggest surprise to come out of the box. When I peeked at my fix on the Stitch Fix app, they didn't have a picture of this item, so I didn't know what to expect. I just saw the name of it, saw the word "vest", and thought "NAH!" I totally wrote it off. And even when I pulled it out of the box, I was skeptical. However, I tried it on and was really shocked at how much I like it!!
So yah, this vest is completely different than anything I own, or would ever think to buy at the store. But again, another reason why I love this company -- they totally take me out of my little bubble. Sometimes they hit it out of the park, other times they don't. But hey, more often than not I'm happy!
OH! AND!! Guess what? Stitch Fix is now offering SHOES! Yes, shoes. Now they can dress you head to toe, literally. How awesome is that? Make sure to update your style profile to include your shoe size! :)
